For me, as much as I wish I could say a rabbit 😆, I have to go with a manatee. The reason isn't because I feel like a cow with the weight gained the past few years, though true! A manatee's gestational period is one of the longest of all animals being about 13 months. I feel like my journey being almost 3 years now with no end in sight certainly reflects that long wait period. Also, a manatee mainly just floats. It has fins and flippers, but really doesn't do much to propel itself. It is at the mercy of the sea, the waves, ships, storms, and anything else that it encounters. I feel a bit like that too. Though I might try with all my being to propel myself and body to pregnancy and a baby, I really am at the mercy of all the things I can't control. I think I need to embrace my inner manatee and just go with the flow as we continue our fertility journey.
