Band-aids for Hope

It might sound absolutely ridiculous, but I am in LOVE with these band-aids I bought. When I got all my medications in the mail, I panicked. There were so many vials and tools that my table looked like Breaking Bad! Nothing comes prefilled like my past shots. Everything comes in little glass vials with other glass containers that you have to mix stuff in. You use one syringe/needle to mix it all and another to inject it. Some even need to be stored in the fridge, so thank goodness we have a second fridge in the basement because it all would have taken up both produce drawers!
Needles to say (haha), it is scary. I will need to measure and mix everything correctly as well as inject them properly. That isn't even taking into account how they might make me feel; either the initial discomfort from the actual shot or side effects they may cause. So in an effort to bring some light-heartedness to the situation, I went online shopping for band-aids. On a whim, I decided to search for "IVF band-aids" just to see what came up. While they were more expensive than plain ones, I am in love with the design. Each one has a little picture or phrase to help me stay strong. There are pineapples, rainbows, "hope," "worth it," and more. If I'm going to have a stomach full of bruises and band-aids, at least these will make me smile and, perhaps, keep me thinking positively. Hopefully they won't cause an allergic reaction like what happened with my surgery incision!
