I have put a lot of pressure on myself these past couple cycles. I turned 30 at the end of September and that was a huge milestone. My life is NOT where I expected it to be at this point. I always said I want one child by 30 and a second before 35. Well, the first half of that goal is not going to happen. who knows if I'll even have one by 35!
My husband said that 30 isn't a big deal and that 5 years before 35 is such a long time. While he is correct, each month that goes by feels like a lifetime and, honestly, age really DOES matter in terms of reproduction. If my pregnancies at 28 and 29 failed, I doubt the odds will improve as I get older.
30 is a tough age for many people though. You are out of your 20s and are like a REAL adult now! All things considered, I am very blessed. I have a husband that loves and supports me. I have the best dog that makes me laugh and gives the best snuggles. I have family and friends that care about me and do their best to support me. I also have a great job doing what I love that also provides good insurance. It is important to step back and count my blessings. It is easy to focus on all the things that aren't here or that I wish I had, but there is a lot I do have too. Here's to hoping 30 will be my year!
