TLC

As I shared previously, we were referred to a MFM or “high risk” doctor to help monitor the pregnancy. We ended up going with TLC and they are absolutely true to their name! From the moment we were called back, we felt cared for and were treated with such attention and respect.

Compared to our previous visits at the OBGYN or even SGF, we were astounded with the level of thoroughness TLC gave to us. The sonographer spent about 45 minutes with us. She described every little detail as she was scanning to ensure we understood what was on the screen. We saw way more than arms and legs! She showed us the brain and bladder as well as other organs. You could also see the spine which was incredible! We said that seeing “our little skeleton” was perfect timing for the day before Halloween. She also sent numerous pictures and videos to our phones so we could keep this memory.

After the scan, a nurse spent about the same amount of time with us going over medical history and fertility history. She was not leaving any stone unturned! She asked questions about things no other doctor had yet. We spoke with the doctor too and he was so down to earth and made it clear he was on our team. I left with absolutely no questions.

With TLC as part of my team during this pregnancy, I feel so much safer. Being pregnant is scary as there is so much that can go wrong. I am grateful to have all these extra sets of eyes to ensure everything goes smoothly.
